Parish Council Newsbrief

October 17, 2018

Designated projects continue to be realized with the lower aluminum glass door installed and the upper Coleman Street doors scheduled for mid-November.  Spotlights in the sanctuary to be replaced with LED lights, and the church screens are mounted in our move toward digitalized services.  The outdoor sign is being prepared also.  This prompted a discussion for an insurance re-appraisal with our upgrades.

“What does Christ Church need and want in a priest moving forward”?

Alex provided a brief overview of Ministry options, with an open council meeting November 7 for a full presentation.  The Diocese will provide an Interim Priest as we move forward with the Bishop on discussions, including the development of a parish profile.  This is typically a lengthy process, which could take up to one year.  Bishop Michael will join us for Parish Council November 21.

Financials are holding steady.  A new financial software program is available at the Diocese, which offers enhanced tracking and reports, while maintaining Christ Church autonomy.  This will move forward for further discussion.
